"Whatcha reading?" Skylar nodded to the nook on Grace's bed.
"It's a novel. A story about the Amish."
Skylar grinned. "Really?"
"Yeah." Grace liked reading about the Amish because of the peaceful live they led.

I smiled when I read that part of the book. I also enjoy Amish novels, which is what first drew me to Beth Wiseman's books. Need You Now is her first non-Amish book. And it is excellent.
In part two the reader has a chance to find out what happens in Darlene's life. Problems are solved, answers are found, truths are revealed, and hearts mend. All because the characters have chosen to let God lead their lives.
I don't want to say much more about this half of the book, as it would be easy to give away the ending. I will say that I hope Beth Wiseman writes more books like this one. I will definitely read them.

I loved this book as well. I don't want to give away what happens either, but I will say, it was a very realistic portrayal of the struggles of marriage and raising a family. Despite all the difficulties they face, the book overall is very hopeful, and I think most readers will be able to relate to the problems. It would also be a helpful book for someone who wants to understand what goes on in the mind of a teen who seems “perfect” on the outside but is dealing with life’s pressure in a very unhealthy way. Great book!
